Days of Wine and Roses stars Kelli O’Hara and Brian d’Arcy James as a couple in 1950s New York who are struggling to come to grips with alcoholism. The two meet at an airport departures lounge and can’t help but fall in love. In the midst of it all, they also fall down a rabbit hole of alcoholism, which they cannot escape from.
This musical is adapted from JP Miller’s 1962 film and original 1958 teleplay. Composer & lyricist Adam Guettel (Floyd Collins) and playwright Craig Lucas (An American in Paris) reunite in their first collaboration since their acclaimed The Light in the Piazza. A world premiere musical directed by Michael Greif (Dear Evan Hansen).

Days of Wine and Roses is based on the play by JP Miller and the Warner Bros. 1962 film. The musical is produced by Kevin McCollum, Mark Cortale, Lorenzo Thione, and Joey Monda, by special arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures. Casting is by The Telsey Office; Craig Burns, CSA. Judith Schoenfeld will serve as the production stage manager.

Kelli O’Hara is a star of stage and screen. She has established herself as one of Broadway’s greatest leading ladies. Her portrayal of Anna Leonowens in The King and I earned her the 2015 Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical, along with Grammy, Drama League, Outer Critics, and Olivier Nominations.
Brian D’arcy James is a three-time Tony nominated actor (Into the Woods, Something Rotten!, Shrek the Musical, and Sweet Smell of Success). He just completed a star studded run of the Broadway revival of Into The Woods as The Baker. He is also nominated for a 2023 Independent Spirit Award in the category of Best Supporting Performance for his work in the critically acclaimed independent film The Cathedral.
